Voluntary audit: if it's really necessary...

Voluntary audits offer real added value for many companies – even if they are not legally required!

At your request, we independently audit your annual financial statements, providing you with security and transparency. This builds trust with banks, investors, and business partners and can even help you obtain better loan conditions.

In addition to the classic annual audit, we also offer:

  • Due diligence audits,
  • Process and internal control system (ICS) audits, as well as
  • Reviews of business plans or restructuring concepts.

Start-ups, family-owned businesses, and nonprofit organizations in particular benefit from a voluntary audit, as it helps them identify weaknesses early and optimize processes.

Mandatory audit: for large companies

Statutory audits for medium-sized companies are part of our daily business – and we make it simple for you!

As soon as your company exceeds the thresholds for medium-sized corporations, an annual audit becomes legally required. We audit your financial statements in accordance with local commercial law (UGB/local GAAP) or – if desired – in accordance with international standards (IFRS).

Our auditors examine not only figures and balance sheets, but also your internal control system and the compliance of your management. The result: an independent audit report that provides security and transparency for you and your stakeholders.

Due to the recent increase in threshold values starting in 2024, many companies benefit from simplifications, but for medium-sized corporations the audit requirement still applies. We guide you reliably through the entire audit process – with expertise, partnership, and always an open ear for your concerns!

Limited reviews: you simply want to know!

Services under PG 13 and PG 14 offer you as an entrepreneur flexible and tailored audit and assurance services – customized to your needs!

With an other audit under PG 13, we specifically examine certain information, systems, or processes for you – for example, your internal control system, sustainability reports, or the accuracy of financial reporting. You receive an independent and objective assessment that builds trust with investors, banks, and partners.

In the case of agreed-upon procedures under PG 14, we work with you to define exactly which areas or issues should be examined – such as for grant confirmations, covenant attestations, or specific line items in accounting. We then report our findings without performing a full audit or providing an audit opinion, such as in connection with:

  • Attestations for grants or subsidies of any kind
  • Paid taxes and contributions to public authorities
  • Attestations on the compliance with financial ratios (e.g. covenant confirmations)

Compliance checks: is everything correct or not?

Are you looking for support with issues such as compliance audits or expert opinions that go beyond the classic PG 13 and PG 14 services? Then you've come to the right place! We offer comprehensive compliance checks so that you can be sure that your company and your business partners comply with all legal and internal requirements. This includes checks for newly appointed managing directors. New managing directors are required to inform themselves about the management, financial situation, and legal relationships of the company. They must carefully review the actions of their predecessors and take corrective measures if necessary, especially with regard to tax obligations.

We also prepare well-founded expert opinions on tax, economic, or accounting issues—for example, for tax authorities, courts, or in the context of restructuring. Our experts also support you in analyzing and optimizing your internal control systems and advise you on corporate governance and fraud prevention.

With us, you receive clear, understandable reports and individual recommendations so that you are always on the safe side, both legally and economically!

Spendengütesiegel

The 2023 Non-Profit Reform Act has made it possible for many charitable and non-profit organizations to receive tax-deductible donations, or has made the process considerably easier.

We would be happy to help you get your organization added to the list of tax-deductible organizations.

To do so, we will arrange a free initial consultation to discuss the requirements with you.

This will be followed by a detailed review of your articles of association or your association's statutes.

Based on this, we will discuss the individual steps necessary to achieve your goal.

Good to know: KSW awards the donation seal of approval, while tax deductibility must be applied for at the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF). These are two different awards:

  • Donation seal of approval

The donation seal of approval is an independent quality seal that ensures that donations are actually used for their intended purpose. Every year, a certified public accountant checks that the donations are used for their intended purpose and in an economically efficient manner according to strict criteria.

  • Tax deductibility

Tax deductibility regulates the tax benefits of donations. Further information can be found on the website of the BMF.
